Quiet story: Scottish Green MSP Iris Duane, one of Scotland's first black MSPs, says masked men gave Nazi salutes at her in Glasgow; Reform UK Scotland rejects her 'dog whistle' charge (Herald only)

In an interview with The Herald before leading a Holyrood debate on 25 years of Black History Month in Scotland, Glasgow MSP Iris Duane said extremists who recognised her made Nazi salutes at a summer counter-protest, and accused Reform UK of 'dog whistle politics'. Reform UK Scotland deputy leader Thomas Kerr said there was 'nothing racist about debating immigration numbers'.
